Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is an annual event organized by the Government of India that aims at bringing all the skills and knowledge of Indian overseas community to India and integrate it into India's development process. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas is organized by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs and CII and is held every year in the first week of January. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will organize various programs in the three-day event to be held from January 7-9 in New Delhi. Dr. Manmohan Singh, the honorable Prime minister of India, will inaugurate the event while the President of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil, would attend the Valedictory session of the event.

Nearly 2000 delegates from overseas would be taking part in the event. There would be discussions and speeches on various themes and interactive sessions with the government.
