Pravasi Bharatiya Divas aims at bringing all the skills and knowledge of Indian overseas community to India and integrating it into India's development process. The event is held every year in the month of January by the Government of India to recognize the contributions of Indian Diaspora in their chosen fields. This is an exclusive event organized by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.

The theme of this event will be “Engaging the Diaspora: the way ahead”. This will give an opportunity to overseas community to present its opinions and have wide discussion. This will let them interact with Indian leadership and understand the growth of India in better way.
